Kruger River Self-catering is a THREE STAR GRADED self catering family house situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, overlooking the Kruger National Park, offering guests a gateway to the regions' many tourist attractions.


In addition to the big 5 game viewing experiences on offer in the Kruger National Park, Kruger River Self-catering is uniquely positioned to further afford its visitors the opportunity to experience day trips to the Panorama Route, Swaziland and Mozambique.


The single story tiled roofed house is situated a mere 25 meters from the Kruger National Park boundary fence making sightings of the big 5 possible from the patio. Elephants, buffalo and rhino are regularly seen and lion and leopards sightings have been recorded from time to time. Lions and hyenas can be heard from across the river at night while fish eagles and hippos are heard during the days.

Kruger River Self-catering is situated inside Marloth Park where several animal species including zebra, giraffe, warthog, impala and wildebeest roam free. These wild animals regularly visit the waterhole in front of the house.

The house consists of three en-suite , air-conditioned river view bedrooms , a seperate en-suite , air-conditioned flat, a lounge /living area with a sleeper couch , guest bathroom with shower , well equipped kitchen and dining area. In total the house can accommodate 8 persons comfortably.

The main attraction however is the large patio with magnificent views of the Crocodile River and the Kruger National park on the par bank. One can spend hours here looking at the hippos ,elephants, buffalo and all other species that occur in Southern Kruger park.

The bird life is spectacular and the garden is a good place to start your birdwatching expedition as it contains huge Lead wood trees as well as many species attracting bird from all around.

Has been another experience of a lifetime coming here again. We loved being at Marloth being able to go into Kruger park daily. We hope it won't be long before we are able to come here again. Next time I'm sure we will see Wild Dogs.
